This recall has been active for a year with Ford saying they have been unable to find a remedy but at the same time saying there is a risk of fuel pooling on the engine, possibly causing a fire and causing injury, I’m assuming to me the driver or my passengers. The vehicle failed to shift back into Drive after being placed in Park, rendering it inoperable. As a result, the vehicle had to be pushed out of a busy driveway and towed to a local repair shop. The local repair shop was unable to diagnose or repair the issue because the required diagnostic equipment is specific to Ford vehicles and was not available to them.
